Door & Hardware Federation - Garage Door Installer & Distributor Group

Originally formed in 1993 as the Association of Garage Door Specialists (AGDS), the association represented the interests of garage door installers across the UK, with a strong focus on providing benefits for the consumer. Some 15 years later, the AGDS had become a significant voice in the retail and wholesale sectors of the garage door industry.

In July 2008, the two leading trade associations in the UK door and shutter industry strengthened their influence in the market by joining forces to become a single, more powerful voice.

The Association of Garage Door Specialists (AGDS), which looked after the interests of garage door installers and their customers, joined forces with the Door & Hardware Federation (DHF), which represented and continues to represent manufacturers and suppliers of industrial and commercial doors and shutters, garage doors, automated gates and door hardware to form a new group – the DHF Garage Door Installer & Distributor Group.

The current Chairman is Julie Chester of Garage Doors Lancashire in Bamber Bridge, Lancashire.
